I will try my best to answer your questions, alleviate your fears, and provide you with helpful resources. Remember, I only know that you need help when you tell me. Please drop by my office hours, leave me a voice message, or email me if you need help.

Grading Scale:
I use the following grading scale in all courses:

A = 93-100	B+ = 87-89	B- = 80-82	C = 73-76	D+ = 67-69	D- = 60-62
A- = 90-92	B = 83-86	C+ = 77-79	C- = 70-72	D = 63-66	F = 59-below

Exam Policies:
Exams may be a combination of true/false, multiple choice, and short answer questions. I expect you to clear your schedule at the beginning of the semester so that you do not make conflicting appointments on exam days.

If you must miss an exam for a documented reason (illness, accident, court date), I will need documentation. All makeup exams will be given during the 10:00 a.m. student activity period on December 1.

To be eligible to take a makeup exam, you must let me know within 48 hours of the missed exam, and you must register to take the makeup. I will not prepare makeup exams for anyone not meeting these criteria. I do not give early finals, so do not plan on leaving school before your final is scheduled.

Homework Policy:
I do not accept late homework. Homework is due by the end of the class period for which it is due. You may turn it in early if you anticipate problems with being in class on the day it is due.

Attendance Policy:
You are expected to attend class regularly and on time. I will begin dropping your grade by one letter for each unexcused absence over four. Tardiness counts as half an absence.

Honor Code Violations:
Cheating and plagiarism will not be tolerated. Students who cheat or turn in plagiarized papers will earn an F in the course and will be reported to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Student Honor Code

Classroom Deportment:
ALL CELL PHONES MUST BE TURNED OFF UPON ENTERING THE CLASSROOM AND REMAIN OFF UNTIL YOU LEAVE. I will deduct 3 points from your final grade for each time you allow your cell phone to ring during class.

Because I want each of you to have a good learning experience, I expect students to pay attention, be respectful of one another, and to refrain from disrupting other students.

Disability Accommodations:
So that we may best serve your needs, any student with a documented disability needing academic adjustment should speak directly to Disability Support Services AND me during the first week of classes. All discussions remain confidential.
