Curriculum Vitae |
Research Interests:
My research interests include describing the influences of sea
level changes, climatic conditions, and the variability of groundwater
compositions on the depositional characteristics of ancient nonmarine
and marine sedimentary packages and the diagenetic pathways that
follow. Primarily, I am interested in elucidating the potential
of early diagenetic carbonate cements within transitional marine
strata to record changes in paleogroundwater flow in response to
base level fluctuations. My approach to research integrates
fieldwork, petrographic examination, stable isotopic analyses,
and elemental geochemistry.
I am also interested in understanding the effects of meteoric
precipitation fluxes on recharge of modern confined aquifer systems.
