Introduction to Computer Architecture
This
course introduces the student to the organization and architecture of
computer systems. It covers digital logic fundamentals, including basic
Boolean algebra and digital components and finite state machines. The
student is exposed to instruction set architecture, how the processor
is connected to memory and input/output devices, and CPU design. As
time permits, microsequencer control unit design will be covered.
