Trochaic Trimeter
Trochaic
A metrical foot composed of one stressed syllable followed by one unstressed
syllable. It is wirtten ( / u ) over the cooresponding
syllables.
Trimeter
Refers to the number of feet within a poem, "Tri-" means three; therefore
trimeter is defined as a verse line of three metrical feet. The feet
are seperated by a vertical line drawn within the verse ( | ).
