Jason Hall

Objective

I am seeking an internship working at the summer basketball camp at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, so I can increase my knowledge in the sport and also to see how other coaches run their own programs.

 Education

Junior, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, majoring in education, GPA: 3.3

Experience

• give the campers all the knowledge I have acquired through my years in the sport, which also dealt with my experience in
• post or paint moves and the techniques to perform them correctly
• free-throw shooting and the art of shooting them properly
• served as a positive rolemodel, as well as, a mentor for the younger campers

• volunteered as a coach for 2nd thru 4th graders
• organized and ran practices, for about 12 to 15 youngsters
• gave the kids a general knowledge of the basic skills used in the game of basketball, such as dribbling, shooting, and rebounding
• provided a positive rolemodel, as well as, taught the kids good sportsmanship and to play the game with the right attitude

• organized and found a sponsor for my own team
• acquired the right group men to form a winning team
• scheduled practice sessions
• participated by being a coach and a player

• most improved player on the team my sophomore year
• honorable mention award in the North Carolina State Games in 1993
• All-Conference award in 1994
• most dedicated coach for my pee-wee recreation team 1998
• earned most-valuable player for the adult league in Lumberton in 1999
