Objective
I am seeking an internship working
with young children in grades k-6th, preferably within the classroom environment,
where I can further develop my skills in education and working with youth.

at Pembroke, majoring in elementary education, with a concentration in
Sociology, GPA: 3.5
America Reads program- received
training to teach adult and child literacy, 1998. This training prepared
me to tutor elementary age students in reading at Pembroke Elementary School.
Foundations of Education field experience-
Spring 1999; 10 hours of observation experience in the classroom setting.
I had the opportunity to go into the classroom and observe the classroom
climate, various teaching styles, different class management techniques
and student behavior. I learned different techniques in correct instruction
within the classroom.
