Epoq 2.2 Teleporting from the Web
to the UNCP campus
in Second Life

Dr. Anthony Curtis – University of North Carolina at Pembroke
How to get there from here
  • SLURL is short for Second Life URL.

  • A SLURL provides a direct teleport link from a Web page to a location in Second Life.

  • From the Web it takes you to the Map in your SL viewer. Naturally you must have the viewer installed and logged on for this to work.

  • When you click Teleport on the lower right side of the Map window, it takes you directly to the desired location in-world.

  • Click here for the SLURL for UNCP in SL.

  • Here is what the SLURL looks like:
    http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dotoorak/226/212/326/?title=UNCP%20in%20SL

  • That SLURL is for the main campus 2nd level rear. Every location on campus has its own individual URL. For instance, any of the other main campus levels, west campus annex levels, or the Newbie Convenience Center on the ground or anywhere else you go in Second Life.

  • Here is a Web page that tells you about SLURLs and how to make your own SLURL.
