Graduate Faculty Council

The Graduate Council of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is the primary governance body for the School of Graduate Studies. Members of the Council include program directors and at large members.  View Council Membership

Graduate Council Meeting Information

Graduate Council Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month during the academic year.  Meetings for the 2014-2015 year will be held in UC Annex room 203 at 3 pm on: September 15, October 20, November 17, January 26, February 16, March 16, and April 20.

Graduate Faculty Nomination

Instructors of graduate courses must be approved by the Graduate Council and requires renewal on a regular basis.  Nominations should come from a graduate program director using this form: Graduate Faculty Nomination/Renewal Form (Link to attached form)

Curriculum Proposal Forms

To propose a new/altered course (Course Proposal form) or new/altered program (Program Proposal form), you will need to go to the Curriculum Forms homepage (from Academic Affairs website). Read the directions and select the appropriate form.

NOTE: Completed forms, with all signatures up to the Dean of Graduate Studies (registrar, provost, etc.), must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies the Friday before one week prior to the Graduate Council meeting in which the proposal is to be considered.
