Welcome to UNC Pembroke's Graduate School! I hope that you attended Orientation on January 5 and found it useful. We will mail Graduate Student Handbooks to those who did not attend and all graduate students are responsible for knowing and following the policies.

General Information For Spring 2008

Student Accounts: All UNCP processes require that you establish a student account. You can view your financial account information and academic record from BraveWeb.

Email: We understand that most graduate students have professional or home email accounts, but it is essential that you have and use a UNCP email account. This is the university's primary official means of communication with students and you are responsible for information disseminated via email.

Registration: Students may register for any approved class prior to the first class meeting. One may register for a Tuesday class as late as January 8, Wednesday classes on January 9, etc. Registration for on-line courses must be completed before the first day of the semester. After any particular class has met, registration is closed. All registration for Spring classes closed Friday, January 11 and tuition was due by that date.

Withdrawing from Classes: Should you need to withdraw from a course, the first step is contacting the professor and securing his or her approval. The completed "Application to Withdraw" which requires the faculty member's signature must be submitted to the Graduate School office before you can receive a "W." If you are an on-line or off-campus student, or unable to come to campus, you may complete and fax the form to 910-521-6751, copy me on your email to the professor requesting that your withdrawal be approved by email. It is always important to consult your advisor prior to any registration or decision to withdraw.
