general information

The Box Office is located at the center of the front entrance to the lobby. Hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, one hour before the performance and during the intermission of any performance.

HOUSE COURTESIES: Patrons arriving late will be admitted at the discretion of the management in the closest available seats. All performances begin promptly at the designated show time.

PARKING: Free parking is available on the north and south sides of the Center. There is ample parking for patrons with disabilities in both areas.

PATRONS WITH PHYSICAL CHALLENGES: Wheelchair locations are available on the orchestra level. Parking spaces for patrons with disabilities are located closest to the Center. The Center is equipped with a Telex Listening Assistance System. Listening assistance devices are available at no charge on a first come, first served basis and may be picked up at the box office.

GROUP RATES: are available on individual shows for groups of ten or more. For more information, call the box office.

SMOKING: The Givens Performing Arts Center is a smoke free facility.

CAMERAS AND RECORDING DEVICES: are not allowed and are prohibited by U.S. Copyright laws. Violators will be prosecuted.

SEATING: It is the policy of the Givens Performing Arts Center to open the house a half hour before the curtain time. In some cases, technical considerations may delay opening.

CANCELLATIONS: All shows, artists and dates are subject to cancellation due to availability.

IN CASE OF FIRE: In the unlikely event of a fire, please locate the nearest exit. Following the instructions of the University Marshals, and the House Manager, WALK to that exit.

ALARMS, PAGERS AND CELLULAR PHONES: As a courtesy to the performers and other audience members, please turn off all watch alarms, cell phones, and pagers. For urgent messages, leave the box office number and your seat location with your office, staff or sitter.

There will be a $25 Service Charge on all returned checks.

CHILDREN: A ticket is required for everyone entering the theatre, including infants and young children. We love kids, but infants and young children can be disruptive to a performance. As a courtesy to audience members and performers, please use discretion in choosing to bring a child. Should a child become distracting you may be asked to wait in the lobby. We do not recommend that children under the age of 4 attend non-family events or under the age of 3 for family events.

CURTAIN CALL: For the safety of audience members and yourself, we request that patrons remain in their seats, or standing if you feel like an ovation, at the conclusion of each performance. The performers would love your applause!
