Kool & The Gang has sold over 70 million albums worldwide and influenced the music of three generations. Thanks to songs like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness and Open Sesame, they’ve earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, nine Top Ten Pop hits, and 31 gold and platinum albums. It has performed intensively throughout the world annually around the globe. The Company's repertoire includes a myriad of International and National Gold Prize winning Acts, such as "Slack Wire" (Presidential Gold Award at the 24th Cirque de Demain Festival in Paris), "Diabolo" (Presidential Gold Award at the 26th Cirque de Demain Festival in Paris), "Pagoda of Bowls" (Golden Clown Award at the 28th Monte Carlo International Circus Festival) and among others. The Tchaikovsky St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra was founded in the years following World War II. During this time the Orchestra successfully worked in different musical genres and received broad acknowledgement and popularity throughout Russia. The Orchestra’s repertoire is extremely diverse ranging from the Baroque music right through to music of the 20th Century. The Orchestra’s repertoire includes a range from baroque compositions by Vivaldi, Bach, Handel and contemporary compositions by Schnitke, Banshikov, Desyatnikov, Kancheli.
The Orchestra is at home in the works of famous Russian Romantic composers (Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff) to the classical composers of the 20th Century (Honegger, Poulenc, Hindemith, Stravinsky). The Orchestra performs in the best St. Petersburg Halls, such as the Dmitry Shostakovich St. Petersburg Philharmonic Grand Hall, State Academic Capella, Smolny Cathedral, and City Cultural Center.
