GLY 415 - Geology Fieldtrip (Maymester 2005)

The inaugural fieldtrip for GLY 415 went no holds barred as Dr. Phillips and nine UNCP students traveled to the Desert Southwest. Las Vegas, NV was our launching pad to the wonderful geology and geomorphology of southern Utah and northern Arizona.

Places visited include:

• Frenchman Mountain (Las Vegas)
• Zion National Park
• Bryce Canyon National Park
• Glen Canyon National Recreation Area
• Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument
• Grand Canyon National Park
• Valley of Fire State Park (NV)
