Assistant Professor in Geosciences


The University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology & Geography beginning August, 2013. We seek applicants in any area that complements existing strengths in sedimentary geology. Particular areas of interest include the environmental geosciences or igneous/metamorphic petrology. The successful candidate will teach general education sections in addition to courses in their area of expertise as part of our new major in Geo-Environmental Studies. Applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduates, and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity. The Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.
