What are the requirements for a Gender Studies Minor? (18 hours total)

Core Requirements include 6 hours from the following courses:

  1. Gender & Society (SOC 354)
  2. Women’s Literature (ENG 208)
  3. Women and the Development of U.S. Society (HST 380)
  4. Women in U.S. History (HST 407)
  5. Social Aspects of Human Sexuality (SWK 304)
Elective requirements include 12 hours from the following:
  1. Family (SOC 303)
  2. Women in Society (SOC/SWK 387)
  3. Exploring Masculinities (SOC389)
  4. American Indian Women (AIS 425)
  5. Nursing and Women’s Health (NUR 421)
  6. Women’s Health Issues and Problems (SOC/HLTH 420)
  7. Addiction and Women (SOC/SAB 461)
