LEED Silver Project: UNCP Facilities Management will continue to focus on energy and resource conservation. The facility has many sustainable features and will be eco-friendly and certified by the US Green Building Council as a LEED Silver project. See www.usgbc.org for a description of LEED and information about Green Buildings.
Sodexo Food Service: The facility will incorporate a 5000 square foot food service area with outdoor patio overlooking the natural area to the north. At this time, concepts are being designed by Sodexo for this space. The food service component will seat 100 people.
Student Lounges: There will be two lounges within the facility for both undergraduates and graduates.
State-of-the-art Labs: The Nursing, Health Professions, and Biology labs will incorporate advanced audio-visual technology. Labs include simulation labs, psychiatric, health assessment, maternal child, advance care, and pediatric and basic skills labs with adjacent elevated observation rooms.
