Chiung Yun Huang, M.A., Chinese Instructor
M.A., Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Areas: Chinese language. |
Born and raised in Taiwan, I graduated from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, where I studied Japanese. After graduation, I was fortunate to receive a two-year scholarship to purse my M.A. in linguistics at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) in Japan. My graduate training in TUFS primarily focused on conversation analysis, discourse politeness and sociolinguistics. After graduation, I worked as a liaison between Taiwanese and Japanese companies for three years. In order to initiate another adventure in my life, I received Chinese teaching training at PSU. Through the program, I found myself really fascinated by teaching Chinese. My goal as a Chinese instructor is to make students interested in Chinese culture and be able to use the language in the target Asian countries where Chinese is being spoken.
