Student Homepages

How do I post my Homepage?

• If you are doing this in Blackboard, you would just submit your changes once you are done editing your home page. You should be in your Blackboard course and choose Tools and then Edit Your Homepage. Fill out the different sections, scroll to the bottom of the page and click submit.
  To view your homepage or your classmates', go to Communication and Choose Roster. Choose List All 2x and you should see the names of the people in your class. Click on one of the names (not the email address) and that will open their homepage.
  

Email

What is it important to send email correctly?

• Most instructors will ask that you put your name and class in the subject line of any email you send. This is important for a number of reasons. An instructor many be teaching more than one online class and in order to answer your question, s/he will need to know the specific class you are referring to. It is also extremely important to put your name in your email because the email you send will only have your username on it, not your full name. Remember to use professional language in your emails and refrain from using Instant Messenger abbreviations (e.g. LOL).

Digital Drop Box

How do I send my instructor my paper using the Blackboard Digital Drop Box?

• Click on the Tools button on your Blackboard Navigation bar, then select Digital Drop Box. Click the "Send File" button, browse for the file you wish to send and click submit. If you choose to use the Add File option, it will not be sent to your instructor until you also send the file.
  

Tests

My test is locked, what do I do?

• Please contact your professor and request that your exam attempt be reset so that you can complete the assessment

I had trouble submitting my quiz and now the system will not let me get back in to retake it.

• You will need to contact your professor and ask them to Clear Your Attempt so that you can try the assessment again.

Grades

My instructor has posted my Grades on Blackboard. Where do I go to find my grades?

• To access your grades posted in your Blackboard course, click the Tools button on the navigation bar. Choose the link Check Grade. Any of your grades posted in Blackboard should be visible. You will only be able to view your own grades. Please note, not all instructors use the Blackboard grade book to post student grades, so this option may not be available depending on the course.
