DELTA SIGMA OMICRON (dSO)

What is Delta Sigma Omicron?

Motto

 ”To exercise our abilities to a maximum so as to minimize our disabilities, that we may live most and serve best.”

 Mission

The mission of the DSO is to advocate for inclusion of UNCP students who are disabled on campus into the University environment and to act as a group showing the opportunities available to disabled people in the UNCP community.

Goals  

• Raising disability awareness on campus.
• Reshaping The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s conception of students with disabilities.
• Improve the quality and access of educational accommodations provided to students with disabilities.
• Reaching out to the community to foster relationships among members with disabilities.
