Benefits of Giving

Stewardship is the process whereby great care and nurturing is provided to UNCP’s philanthropic support – its gifts and those who give them – in a way that respectfully honors our donors’ expectations and the relationship between donors and the University.

Stewardship is developing an ongoing relationship that includes appreciation and recognition for their contribution, ensuring that their gifts are used according to their wishes, reporting on what has been accomplished with their gifts (annual donor report) and heightening their interest and involvement with the cause.  Ultimately, stewardship is a partnership of the interests and needs of the donor joined with the needs of the University.

Two of the most popular stewardship events each year are the Chancellor’s Club Annual Dinner and the Scholarship Recognition Dinner.
