Mr. Hall is the father of three daughters and is an active Shriner, Mason and a member of the Sudan Tomcats parade unit. A member of Chestnut Street United Methodist Church, Mr. Hall gives generously to other organizations as well to include the Oxford Orphanage. When he's not working, Mr. Hall enjoys playing golf and supports a number of local fund raiser tournaments. Mr. Hall's goal for the Chancellor's Club is to help others throughout the region, "understand how important the University is in making our communities a better place for future generations. It not only provides an education, but the graduates of the University can create better livelihoods for themselves as well as the jobs their businesses bring to the area." Mr. Hall would like to bring former Chancellor Club members back into the organization as well as develop new members. The support these memberships bring to UNCP will make a tremendous difference in the ability to offer students an affordable education and quality programming. Mr. Hall's most cherished memory while a student was the A he made in Mr. Ransom's science class. "He didn't give A's!" A math major, Mr. Hall believed he would become a schoolteacher after graduation. However, he found that his education gave him unlimited possibilities for the future and, when an opportunity to work for Jefferson Pilot arose, Mr. Hall took it. He has been with the company full time since 1971, earning Hall of Fame honors as well as numerous industry awards along the way. Mr. Hall is currently a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Roundtable and one of only 5 Chartered Financial Consultants in the region. Mr. Hall provides complete financial planning, estate planning and retirement planning services at his office in Lumberton. |
