Tutorials

Blackboard, UNCP's course management system, is available to instructors who are interested in online teaching and learning, either to enhance a campus-based course or to create a course entirely online.

Blackboard offers a rich variety of tools for posting materials online and facilitating interaction with and among students. We believe you will be pleased with Blackboard 9.1.

On-demand Learning Center - Interactive Videos

All Blackboard courses are now created automatically when the Office of the Registrar enteres the course informaton into Banner. The Course Site Request form needs to be submitted only for a course:

  1. with multiple sections, and/or
  2. with multiple course numbers.

DoIT will create a combined course in Blackboard.


How to copy content from previous courses into new courses

  1. Go to Packages and Utilities in the source (previous) course
  2. Then, go to Course Copy
  3. Browse for the appropriate new course as the Destination Course ID
  4. Select the appropriate boxes (check all the boxes if you are unsure)
  5. Click Submit


How to make a course available to students
(Courses are marked unavailable to students by default.)

  1. Go to Customization > Properties
  2. Then, 3. Set Availability and choose Yes for Make Course Available
  3. Click Submit
