When can I create my BraveWeb account?
Your BraveWeb account (which is the same login/password as your Blackboard Account) can be created once you have received your secret code from Admissions: https://braveweb.uncp.edu/account/start
How do I activate my BraveMail account?

I forgot my password … what do I do now?

How do I access my network files on campus?
If you log into a PC in a lab or classroom on campus, you should be able to find your personal shared space as the ‘I:’ drive. If you are logging in from a Mac you will see a network share in finder called “<User> on Student/Netapp Filer” where <user> is your username.
How do I access my network files remotely?
You can access your network storage space using a secure ftp client. Instructions for downloading and using Filezilla: http://www.uncp.edu/doit/help/remote_access.html
I live on campus and have my own computer. How do I access the Internet?
You need to get set up on the Residential Network (ResNet) by complying with our campus standards. Step-by-step instructions for setting up ResNet: http://www.uncp.edu/doit/resnet/register.html
I need to do an assignment in an application I’ve never used. Can you walk me through this or can I get training or assistance?
DoIT does provide training for students on some software packages: http://www.uncp.edu/doit/training/
I need to update my computer software to Office 2007. Does UNCP offer student rates?

I live in a residence hall. My computer is very slow. I think I may have downloaded a virus. What should I do?
If you are a residential student, you can download and scan your computer with our campus license of McAfee Virus Scan: http://www.uncp.edu/doit/students/update_mcafee.html
I have never taken an online course before, where can I go for instructions?

How do I access the campus wireless network?

Does DoIT work on Student computers?
Due to liability issues, only certified and authorized DoIT staff may work on machines purchased through the Bookstore or the UNCP Premier site. Upon purchasing a computer through one of these two entities, you will receive information on what to do if your computer needs servicing.
I need more storage than the 1GB provided by UNCP. Where can I get access to more storage?
Microsoft’s SkyDrive service can be used in conjunction with BraveMail to store up to 25GB worth of data: http://skydrive.live.com
How do I get a game console (Xbox 360/PS3/Wii ) online?
