VIRUS WATCH

All University-owned desktops and laptops use Mcafee VirusScan. This guide will show how to check to see if your virus scan software is up to date and how to do a complete scan of your computer. If your computer lacks McAfee Virus Scan, please contact the Help Desk.

Always use an anti-virus program such as Norton Antivirus, Mcafee VirusScan or other anti-virus programs.

How to check to see if your McAfee Virus Scan is up-to-date

  1. Right-click the VShield icon on the lower right of your computer. It looks like a shield with a red V in it. A menu should appear.
