Mac SafeConnect Instructions

SafeConnect for Macintosh users requires a client or "policy key" to be installed. The first time you connect to ResNet over ethernet and access a page outside of the UNCP network, you should get this screen below.
Once you authenticate, you will be prompted to download the client in a zip file. Select the link in bullet one and save the file. Take note of the location in which the application is saved. By default it should go into the "Download" folder in your home directory.

If your browser does not automatically extract the installer for you, double click the zip file to extract it with the "Archive Utility", then run the installer. For the first few screens you can accept the default option and select "Continue."

Once you select Install it will prompt you for account credentials. It is not neccisarily the credentials for your UNCP account. This is an account local to the computer in question. It may be the username and password you must use to log in when it first boots up, or when it comes back from a screen saver.

After you authenticate, please wait as the installer does its job.

Once you get the screen below, you have finished the installation. You may now hit the "Close" button and begin browsing the web.
