DoIT Technology Update
Over the summer, campus computer labs and classroom computers were updated to Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010.
DoIT has also partnered with the University Center staff to standardize technologies in the University Center and the University Center Annex for all meeting space locations. All rooms available as meeting spaces will have standard technologies across the building. Anticipated completion of installation of the new technologies is December 2011.
Additionally over the summer, DoIT made the necessary organizational changes and folded media services into the Client Services labs and classrooms area. DoIT’s goal continues to be to ensure campus users receive necessary media support while reducing costs. For example, laminating and sign-making services are now available in Printing Services and student audio/visual equipment may be checked out from the Mary Livermore Library. With all classroom technology support merged under the labs and classrooms area, DoIT hopes to address any teaching/learning technology issues more efficiently and consistently.
