EMAS and Banner Bridge Project Report
The Division of Information Technology has been working with Admissions to create a bridge between EMAS and Banner. EMAS is a package that Admissions uses to manage their recruiting efforts. The bridge will bring names, addresses, telephone numbers and applications data into Banner automatically, thus eliminating duplicate data entry in both systems. The first phase of the bridge will be installed in Banner production this week.
Financial Aid updates have been tested and installed in Banner production. Oracle 10g Application Server has been installed in Banner test and will be tested during the next two weeks. 10g iAs will be moved into Banner production before the end of the month. Additional updates to Banner will be installed in test during the end of March, with testing to follow in April.
DoIT has supported the Controller’s Office with the implementation of the Touchnet Bill+Payment suite. This will enable students to see electronic bills, make payments online using credit cards or checking account information, and will also enable the use of electronic refunds. The Bill+Payment suite will address many, but not all, of the issues with PCI compliance. Online payments and e-refunds will go-live first, with e-bills to follow in a few weeks.
