- I sent out a mass email message and received an "Undeliverable" error. Do I have to send the message again?
- I received email from the UNCP Administrator asking me to provide my password.
- How can I open .docx files without Office 2007 files?
1. I sent out a mass email message and received an "Undeliverable" error. Do I have to send the message again?
No, you do not have to resend the message. The email is being delivered to all recipients, except to the one whose email has a problem. If the email is undeliverable to even one recipient, you will receive the message below:
Subject: Undeliverable: (your original subject)
Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:
Please scroll through the list of recipients to see which recipients did not receive the message, as well as the reason why the message did not get delivered (i.e., "The recipient's mailbox in full.").
2. I received email from UNCP Customer Care Team asking me to provide my password.
Do not reply to any messages asking your password or/and user name. DoIT will never ask you provide your information via email. If you have responded, please change your password and call the Help Desk immediately. Those are not legitimate messages.
3. How can I open .docx files with Office 2003?
Microsoft has a compatibility pack for Office 2003 that can be downloaded at http://tinyurl.com/2xp8e3 and installed. Once installed, you will be able to open Office 2007 files as if they were Office 2003 files without any additional step.
