* LAN/Web and Academic VMS Passwords must be reset every six months from the date the password was set. Clients will receive a message in their UNCP e-mail seven days prior to the expiration to remind them to change the passwords. The password may be reset on campus by clicking ctrl-alt-delete and selecting the "Change Password" button. From off campus a Network password may be reset at BraveWeb and select the "Change Password." When you return to campus you will need to synchronize the new password on your computer by clicking the appropriate box on the second password request and using your old password on that screen. After that the passwords will be synchronized and you won't see the second screen again.

Administrative account passwords must be changed every three months. After the password has expired, user will be prompted to change the password when logging into the system. Web server users will not be prompted when using an FTP client (AbsoluteFTP). If a user experiences problems uploading pages to the web server, use a Telnet client (CRT) to login to the web server and reset the password.
