There are five brass faculty at UNC Pembroke. Dr. Tim Altman and Dr. Aaron Vandermeer teach trumpet, Ms. Alex Williams teaches horn, Mr. Tom Burge teaches trombone, and Dr. Joanna Ross Hersey teaches euphonium and tuba. These faculty members are active performers and clinicians both here in North Carolina and across the world, and are proud to call UNCP home. Our five brass faculty make up the UNCP Faculty Brass Quintet, teach student majors, and coach student groups including the UNCP Trumpet Ensemble, the UNCP Tuba Euphonium Ensemble, and other brass chamber music ensembles.
