CHEPD Undergraduate and Graduate Transfer Programs

The CHEPD Undergraduate and Graduate Transfer Programs, organized and administrated by (Links open in new windows) CCIEE and AASCU, is a new form of international educational cooperation with two-way student and faculty exchanges between Chinese and American universities. CCIEE and AASCU select qualified public universities to participate in the program. A total of near100 universities have participated in this program by 2018. UNCP joined a coalition of five U.S. and 32 Chinese universities to offer undergraduate transfer program for Chinese students in March 2005.

UNCP starts the CHEPD Graduate Transfer Program in the fall of 2012.

Since 2005, UNCP has received over 100 undergraduate and graduate students from partner universities in China. UNCP's first cohort of 6 students graduated in 2008. Second cohort of 7 students graduated in 2009. In the summer of 2010, 12 students graduated and awarded degrees in the Great Hall of People in Beijing, China. The fourth cohort of 19 students graduated in the summer of 2011. In the summer of 2012, 22 students graduated from the programs, 12 students graduated in 2013, 4 students graduated in 2014, 5 students graduated in 2015, 6 students graduated in 2016, students graduated in 2017, 11 students graduated in 2018 and 8 students graduated in 2019.

At UNCP, CCIEE students not only get a high-quality education with UNCP's well-known "personal touch," but also have the opportunity to experience American life, and to participate in traditional Chinese celebrations, and many cultural - and fun - activities.
