Faculty and Students go to Association of Writers and Writing Programs

April 19, 2016

AWP, or the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, is the preeminent conference for writers, teachers, students, editors, and publishers. This year, two faculty members, Dr. Jessica Pitchford and Hannah Baggott, traveled to Los Angeles for AWP (March 30-April 2), where the current issue of Pembroke Magazine, Volume 48, made its debut at the bookfair. Dr. Pitchford also brought along undergraduate (and MFA-bound) Pembroke Magazine editorial assistant Zachary Lunn, who has been working on the magazine all year as part of a PURC funded project. Dr Pitchford also talked about editing as collaboration on the panel  “Mayhem and More Mayhem: The World of Collaborative Writing.”
