NEW STUDENT PLACEMENT TESTS

All new students at UNCP (Freshmen and Transfer students with less than 30 transferable semester hours) are required to take the Placement Tests. The purpose of the tests is to help students begin at the appropriate level at UNCP. The university takes the success of each student seriously, and does not want a student to begin in a course that may be too difficult. Tests are administered during the summer and winter in Writing, Reading, Mathematics, and Speech.

Students will be notified concerning test dates and fees. The Office for Enrollment Management coordinates and registers all students for these tests.
