The Association of Pembroke Peer Leaders and Educators is the premier student leadership organization on campus. APPLE Corps is an affiliate of the national BACCHUS Peer Education Network. Students may apply to be considered for membership at anytime during their UNCP career. APPLE Corps is known on campus for sponsoring some of the best programs on campus. APPLE Corps members are involved in the following activities:

• Certified Peer Educator
  • New APPLE Corps members may participate in a one semester training program to become national Certified Peer Educators.
• Monday's Personal Development Series
  • APPLE Corps coordinates this weekly program that brings experts to campus on a wide variety of topics including: Diagnosis: Homesickness, How to Deal with Difficult People, Listening to Your Body, Healthy Relationships, How to Make Stess Work for You, Becoming Tobacco Free, Home for the Holidays - now what?, and other topics. Check the University Calendar and This Week @ UNCP for information on upcoming programs.
• Awareness Weeks
  • APPLE Corps sponsors week-long activities involving the themes of: National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, Great American Smoke-Out, Sexual Responsibility Week, Safe Spring Break, Carpe Key-em, as well as Health Screenings for Depression, Substance Abuse, Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Blood Pressure, and HIV. • Wellness Presentations
  • CPEs are often asked to present on a wide variety of topics for classes, especially Freshman Seminar, as well as to both campus and community groups.
• Becoming a Member
  • If you are interested in becoming a member of APPLE Corps stop by the Counseling & Testing Center in 243 Chavis University Center to pick up an application and make an appointment for an interview.
