The mission of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke Career Center is to provide a comprehensive program of career development services and activities for all students and alumni. The Career Center offers services to assist students in clarifying their career choices, defining their job search strategies, and pursuing internship/co-op, employment, and/or graduate school opportunities.

  • Become a Career Peer! The Career Center is looking for outgoing, energetic students to become charter members of the new Career Peer volunteer program! Career Peers will be ambassadors for the Career Center, presenting and assisting with programs and events, assisting with marketing, and providing input into the work of the Center. What Can I Do With A Major In...?

Online Career Library: An online resource of information on a variety of industries and employers. Contact the Career Center for a password.

Brave Opportunities: UNCP's website for job searches. To access and REGISTER, you must be a currently enrolled UNCP student or UNCP alumnus.

  • Online Job Search Account Registration and Resume Release Form
    • Attention students: before you can begin using Brave Opportunities, you must complete this form and return to the Career Center via mail or fax.
  • Student/Alumni View
    • From any location students can register with the Career Center to: view part-time, full-time, internship and volunteer job listings; upload resumes and cover letters; and sign up for interviews and receive/respond to employer inquiries.Click for help PDF Word

Resume Checklist [PDF] [Word] - In order for you to post your resume on our online recruitment system, it must be critiqued and approved by a UNCP Career Center consultant. It is important for you to review this checklist and update your resume before your appointment with a consultant. This will help you to have your resume approved in a timely manner. When updating your resume, jot down any concerns or questions you may have so they can be discussed with a consultant during your scheduled appointment. For more detailed information and examples of resume formats, visit our Career Resource Library anytime during our hours of operation.
