If thunderstorms or exceedingly heavy rain should occur on Saturday, a decision will be made no later than 9:00 a.m. as to whether Commencement Exercises should move indoors. This decision will be broadcast onsite, on UNCP's Emergency Information Hotline (910.521.6888), and on the University's homepage at www.uncp.edu.

Should Commencement Exercises move indoors, the ceremony will occur in the Givens Performing Arts Center. All graduates, faculty, and administrators will process to the Givens Performing Arts Center at the processional times requested of them for the traditional outdoor ceremony. Family and friends of graduates are asked to seat themselves in the main gym of the English E. Jones Health and Physical Education Center where the Commencement Exercises may be viewed on big screen TVs.

Receptions will be held in the James B. Chavis University Center Lounge immediately following the ceremony.

In case Commencement Exercises move indoors, please forward this email to your family and friends who are planning to attend to inform them of our inclement weather plan.
