On-Campus Opportunities

Below is a list of volunteer opportunities for UNCP students to serve on campus. Student volunteers may track service hours for awards and recognition. Register to track your service hours online for the PVSA.

  • Student Ambassador. The office of Admissions seeks current students who exemplifies what it means to be a UNCP student. The student ambassador will provide prospective students and families tours of the UNCP campus.  The ambassador may assist with office duties including filing, mailings, and other administrative needs. The ambassador will work at least 2 hours per week at designated times and be available for all Admissions Open House events on four Saturdays throughout the year.  Applicants must complete an interviewed process and selected ambassadors will be trained by professional staff and current ambassadors.

    Contact information: Brian O'Neil (521-6866; brian.oneil@uncp.edu)
    Jennifer McNeill (521-6389;  jennifer.mcneill@uncp.edu)

  • FirstBook Campus Advisory Board. Looking for passionate volunteers who want to make a difference in the community. Wonderful opportunities to impact children's lives — through the magic of books. We host several events per year that raise funds for books, spread the word about First Book and have fun in the process.
  • Distinguished Speaker Series Ambassadors. Volunteer to serve at GPAC performances and events. Contact Patricia Fields at gpac@uncp.edu or (910) 521-6287.
