How do I become a Volunteer?

Student may register with the CLS Listserv and receive updates on volunteer and service opportunities, leadership workshops, and other campus events.

is my service documented?

The CLS office will document all REPORTED service of registered volunteers. Volunteers who engage in service and document service hours performed individually, with student organizations, and/or academic departments may request and receive a Leadership Transcript. The transcript is a record of their volunteerism and service recorded with the CLS office.

How do i track my hours?

Students may join LSOP on OrgSync and earn awards and recognition for volunteered service as they track their service hours. Also, CLS will certify volunteered service hours for the President's Volunteer Service Award. <more>

Are volunteers recognized for service?

The Center for Leadership & Service is a Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award. Register and start tracking your volunteer service hours now!

Are workshops offered?

Yes! Students may participate in educational and leadership development workshops. Record workshop attendance with the Workshop Sign-In sheet and submit the completed form to the Center for Leadership and Service at the end of the semester.

do Volunteers meet?

Yes! Volunteers and LSOP members meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 10:30 in the Multicultural Center Classroom in Old Main.

where can I volunteer?

Search for volunteer and service opportunities here or contact the Center for Leadership & Service at the Multicultural Center in Old Main.

You don't have to go far to find a volunteer opportunity. We have listed of community volunteer opportunities .

CLS also hosts Service Projects each month that require volunteers.
