Leadership Service Opportunity Program
LSOP promotes volunteer opportunities on and off campus in conjunction with the Center for Leadership and Service. LSOP is advised by the Center for Leadership and Service.
The LSOP program recognizes students who participate in leadership development and community service.
LSOP members receive updates on current events, volunteer opportunities, workshops, and other exciting happenings at UNCP.
LSOP is one of the biggest student organizations on campus with nearly 2,000 members since it's inception.
How do I Join LSOP?
Just 3 easy steps! REGISTER with LSOP, SUBSCRIBE to the CLS listserv, and then create a personal profile on MyVolunteerPage. LSOP members receive updates on LSOP events, LSOP workshops, volunteer opportunities and ongoing campus events.
Get Involved Now! Three (3) easy steps.
WHAT's required?
Freshman Year: 8 workshops + 30 hours of service
Sophomore Year: 8 workshops + 50 hours of service
Junior Year: 8 workshops + 50 hours of service
Senior Year: 8 workshops + 50 hours of service
When are the member meetings?

How do i track my hours and workshops?
Students record Workshop attendance with the Workshop Sign-In sheet and must submit the completed form to the Center for Leadership and Service at the end of the semester.
To track your Service hours, register On-Line and track your service hours at your local internet. You can always have access to your volunteer service hours through Volunteer2 on-line tracking system. Register now! and start tracking your hours on-line. Others may want to fill out the Service Hour Log and turn in your log to the CLS office at the end of the semester.
where can I volunteer?
Think about what you want to do (tutor, administrative support, cleaning, assist with programs and activities, etc).
Now, think about which age group you want to work with (children, teens, adults, seniors).
You don't have to go far to find an organization in need of volunteers. We have listed our community partner's volunteer opportunities .
CLS also hosts Monthly Service Opportunities each month that require volunteers.
