The Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) is designed to support the UNCP mission to provide leadership and service to the campus and community.  The CLS provides opportunities (through education, workshops, programs and community service projects) for students to recognize their own leadership potential and take initiative to develop it.

The purpose of CLS is to increase student awareness of community and service opportunities to that meet the needs in the community.

CLS provides opportunities for college students to gain practical experience and exposure in volunteer and service learning settings. Student volunteers gain leadership experience through service that will last a lifetime.

UNCP is named to the 2007 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

 

This distinction recognizes UNCP’s leadership in helping to build a culture of service and civic engagement.
