Resources for students & Alumni
Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and alumni are invited to use the many career planning and employment resources available in The Career Center. Taking advantage of our services will help you become more proficient at career decision-making.
- Internships - Assistance with searching for an internship is available through The Career Center. Internships are posted through the online job search system, Brave Opportunities.
- Full-Time, On-Campus, Part-Time, & Summer Listings - Job listings can be viewed on our online job search system, Brave Opportunities.
- On-Campus Interview Program - Employer representatives from various organizations visit the campus to conduct job interviews with seniors and alumni. Students must have a resume critiqued by Career Center staff in order to take advantage of this service.

- Career Fairs - Employer representatives from a variety of private, public, and governmental organizations provide company information and discuss job and/or internship opportunities with students. The following events are offered each academic year:
UNCP Career Expo - an event featuring recruiters from Graduate and Professional Schools, Government Agencies, and Private Industry.
Teacher Education Fair - a recruiting event targeting education majors and others interested in the education industry. Recruiters from local and regional school districts will be in attendance.
- Resume Critiques - Resumes and cover letters can be reviewed by appointment or by dropping them off in our office. Resumes/cover letters that are dropped off will be critiqued within 48 hours.
- Resume Checklist [PDF] - This checklist will give you the basics of writing a resume. For more detailed information and examples of resume formats, visit The Career Center's Career Library anytime during our hours of operation.
- Mock Interviews - Videotaped mock interviews are available by appointment only. Mock interviews are critiqued and the process usually takes about 1 hour.
