Career Quest Living-Learning Community

Your Map To Success

Career Quest is a residential community for first-year and sophomore students who have not yet decided on a major. Together we explore career options, engage in fun learning experiences, and declare majors that fit with your unique interests and skills. The purpose of the program is to guide each student through the career development and exploration process, while creating a plan for long-term career success.

Students who are selected to participate in the program will live in a community setting on the first floor of Pine Hall. Participants will also have exclusive access to special programs, which includes reserved courses, career field trips, employer visits; community and social activities.

All students take Introduction to Career Development (CAR1010) as a cohort group and attend community seminars. First-Year students take Freshman Seminar (FRS1000) and Composition I (ENG1050) together. Students will make connections with classmates, faculty, and staff advisors while learning about UNCP’s resources.

Selected applicants will participate in an entrance interview with current Career Quest students and advisors. Final decisions will be made by May 2013. Click on the appropriate link and complete the specified application below:
