peer study support program

The Peer Study Support Program is a free service to all University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) students, offering peer-led study sessions for the General Education curriculum. Students who utilize this service benefit from supplemental assistance and developing and/or strengthening academic skills, in addition to regularly scheduled review sessions and contact with professors during office hours.

Lead by a peer educator, each study session (group size ranging from three to five students) will meet once a week for a 50 minute to one hour session. The peer educator will help explain the course material by assisting students to connect ideas, form concepts and explain events and ask questions that will help students to clarify their understanding of the course material.

If you would like to request a peer study session, please review the How to Request a Peer Study Session and Participant Responsibilites sections. The last day to request a session for the Spring 2008 semester was Friday, March 28th.

If you are interested in being a peer educator, please visit the Peer Educator Application section for more information or stop by the Center for Academic Excellence and pick up an application packet.

If you are a peer educator, please visit the Friday, March 28, 2008 use for your study session(s).
