The Tutoring Program provides free tutoring services to all UNCP students who need further assistance in currently registered courses.

Led by a professional or peer tutor, each scheduled tutoring session will last approximately one hour in length. The tutor will help the student to better understand the course material by connecting ideas, forming concepts, explaining events, and asking questions that will help the student to increase their understanding of the course material.

ONLINE FORM TO request a tutor

Please note that it may take up to one week to process tutoring requests that are submitted using the online form.

You may also come to the CAE office and register for a tutoring appointment on one of the kiosks located through the D.F. Lowry Building.

 

UPDATES FOR SPRING 2013 SEMESTER

Tutoring requests are scheduled in the order that they are received.

Appointment confirmations will be sent to your UNCP email address (Bravemail).

All tutoring requests submitted as of 10:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, have been scheduled and/or contacted for further information.
Remember to check your email on a regular basis for updates!

We currently need tutors for the following courses: CRJ/SOC/SWK 3600, CRJ 3610, CSC 2150, GLY 1150, GLY 2460, ITC 2700, MAT 2100,
MCM 2400, PLS 3520, PSY 2150, PSY 3040, SOC 3670, SWK 3480.

 

Please review the Participant Responsibilites section before attending your first tutoring session.

The Center for Academic Excellence will make every effort to accommodate all students; however, we cannot guarantee a tutor for every subject or all scheduling needs.
