Thank you for visiting the Second-Year Program website. We arrived on campus as an office under the umbrella of The Center for Academic Excellence in the Spring of 2009.

Our purpose is to serve the second year student on the campus of UNC Pembroke as well as ease in the transitions into and out of the sophomore year. We are here to provide the second year students with the resources they will need to continue successful academic ventures at UNCP.

Along the way we will host workshops, join in with other offices on campus to disperse valuable information, and plan some fun social activities designed for this specific population. If there is a question about declaring or switching majors, what classes to take next semester, or even what is the best office for a particular resource, we can help. The staff of three professional advisors, a web developer, and coordinator is here to help to make sure no student falls through the cracks.
