Welcome to UNCP! The Center for Academic Excellence has two resources specifically for freshmen students and their parents/guardians.

BraveWire is an online community just for UNCP freshmen. At orientation, students can sign up for an account. They can also sign up for an account in their freshman seminar course. Once their account is activated, they are able to read articles geared toward freshmen transition issues and to network with other incoming freshmen.

Pembroke Parents is an online newsletter for the parents/guardians of freshmen students. This newsletter provides parents/guardians with up-to-date information on UNCP policies and procedures as well as with tips on successfully navigating their student's first semester at college.
