International Opportunities
The new Track in International Business has been created to reflect the increasing globalization of the United States economy and to prepare students for careers in international trade. Opportunities for graduates specializing in International Business include federal agencies such as the Department of Commerce, the State Department, and U.S. Customs as well as the international trade offices of individual states. Within the private sector, opportunities to utilize this degree exist with major multinational companies, financial institutions, and logistics firms.
The International Business Track at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke consists of four major components. First, students establish a foundation in business and economics through the Core Body of Knowledge. The second component includes courses in International Management, International Marketing, International Finance, and International Trade. The third part of the program stresses the development of foreign language skills while the fourth focuses on an appreciation of contemporary international history and political systems. Opportunities for foreign travel are available through numerous international exchange programs as well as summer study abroad programs led by our faculty.
