Dr. Victor Bahhouth is an Associate Director of BIS studies and Associate Professor of Finance at the School of Business – University of North Carolina - Pembroke. He received his Doctorate of Business Administration in Finance from Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne – United Kingdom. Dr. Bahhouth’s teaching interests are in the areas of corporate finance, financial management, financial markets, business statistics, financial and management Accounting. His research interests are in the areas of contemporary issues related to international business, technology, and stock markets. He authored and co-authored research papers that have been published in refereed journals and in the proceedings of national and international academic conferences. His publications appeared in the Journal of International Business and Economics Perspectives, Journal of Applied Business Economics, Journal of International Business Accounting and Finance, Journal of East-West Business (Routledge), Journal of International Business and Public Administration; Journal of International Business, Marketing and Decision Sciences, and Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal. Dr. Bahhouth received research awards for a number of papers presented at scholarly conferences and chaired sessions, served as a discussant. In addition, Dr. Bahhouth’s area of expertise was enriched by his exposure to real life business cases as he owned and managed a consultancy firm that provided accounting and financial services for small businesses. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
