Prior to coming to UNCP, Dr. Michael Menefee has had a long career in business and academia. He has been President of three privately owned businesses plus served as the Peterson Prorofessor of Entrepreeurship and Chair of organizational Leadership at Purdue University where he is not Professor Emeritus. Since arriving at UNCP in 2006, Dr. Menefee has been instrumental in developing, and expanding the Entrepreneurship Program in the School of Business. Dr. Menefee has published widely authoring numerous academic articles and is the author of eight major business and organization books.  Presently, Dr. Michael Menefee, is the Thomas Family Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship.
