• Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) grant program in the UNC system--specifically here at UNCP.
• Smithsonian Research Training Program. 10-week internships, typically 24 positions available.
• North Carolina Biotechnology Center has research internships available at: www.ncbiotech.org/undergrad_biotech/
• The National Science Foundation has listings of numerous summer research opportunities for undergraduates across the country.
• National Internship Clearninghouse. This is another "clearing house" for summer internships which lists numerous opportunities.
