• Research Experiences for Undergraduates in Estuarine and Coastal Barrier Ecology and Processes at the UNC Institute of Marine Sciences. 10-week paid summer internships in North Carolina. (Deadline: 24 February 2012)
• Minorities in Marine and Environmental Sciences. 12-week paid summer internship in Charleston, South Carolina. (PDF poster) (Deadline: 9 March 2012)
• Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) grant program in the UNC system--specifically here at UNCP.
• Smithsonian Research Training Program. 10-week internships, typically 24 positions available.
• The Field Museum. 10-week interships
