Elizabeth Workman Presents Her Undergraduate Research
Former Biology student ('10), Elizabeth Workman, presented her undergraduate research (BIO 4990) during the The Lumber River Conservancy's (LRC) annual meeting, held on 5 November 2010. Elizabeth conducted a vegetation study of Sampson's Landing (Pembroke, NC), one of many LRC land holdings. Undergraduate students Chris Spencer and Matt Bublitz assisted Elizabeth with field work.
Her two-month study, during summer 2010, was supported by a grant from the LRC, a non-profit organization that seeks to preserve the Lumber River and its watershed. Elizabeth's collection of voucher specimens of the flora are permanently archived in the UNCP Herbarium.
Members of the Board of Directors for The Lumber River Conservancy ask Elizabeth questions about her PowerPoint presentation.
