The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is committed to the development of a greener and more diverse energy supply through the potential of Biofuels. The UNC Pembroke Biofuels project shares the University’s commitment to the intellectual, economic, social, and cultural life of the region, the state, and the nation by encouraging faculty, and student research that enhances the life of the region through outreach and technology transfer.

The Biofuels Project will research new methods of producing various biofuels, such as biodiesel, through different chemical, biological and technological processes. The goals of the Biofuels Project are to enrich the life of the region, state, and nation through the three areas of Research, Education, and Economic Development.
