Raku Pottery Demonstration

On Tuesday, November 25, the Ceramics area of the Art Department gave a raku pottery demonstration to 25 students from the art club of John T. Hoggard High School of Wilmington.

Their art teacher, Mrs. Hope Norris-Hunt, a graduate of UNCP Art Department, has been bringing her students to campus for the demonstration for the past 3 years. These demonstrations are coordinated and produced by Professor Paul Van Zandt, 3-D coordinator for the Art Department, and this year assisted by Mark Morris, a graduate student in Art Education.
